She's often seen in the middle of her grueling workouts.

And Jessica Mauboy showed off the results of her hard work on Monday at the Dally M Awards at The Star Casino in Sydney.

The 23-year-old looked slim and stunning on the read carpet, where she donned a strapless Steven Khalil cheap cocktail dresses , ahead of her performance at the event.

The dress features a slit in the middle, lavish lacy patterns, and showed off the natural beauty's svelte figure and decolletage.

Jessica kept her look accessory free, but teamed her wares with a pair of shimmering champagne stilettos.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at the NRL awards night, she revealed that her thinner physique is a result of wanting to improve her performance on the stage.

'I'm definitely a long distance runner...you want to work the stage, you don't want to be out of breath - it's more about fitness.'

The Australian Idol alumni said that she likes to workout in the studio and before performances, as it's a 'breather in the brain.'

Her workout for the day was 20 burpees, pushups and a 20 minute run at 11.5km per hour.

'Really high intensity, but really quick and it only takes a half an hour,' she said proudly.

She was joined at the event by Terry Biviano, wife of recently retired Anthony Minichiello, Jodi Gordon and Big Brother's Jade Albany.
